Do you feel stuck? Do you feel like your life will never change? Do you ask yourself the same questions over and over again, without getting answers? Do you feel static, trapped, confused, stressed and frustrated?

You’re not alone. I’ve been there. I’ve experienced feeling stuck, struggling to understand myself and what I wanted from life. Often, the root cause of feeling stuck is a lack of confidence. So how can you become more confident? How can you stop feeling overwhelmed and start finding purpose and enjoyment in life? How can you set goals and achieve them?

Never assume that you’re stuck forever and it’s impossible to get what you want. Life changes, and so can you.

Confidence  is something you can learn step by step. Taking steps means you will have to take action, you will have to get up and move. Confidence is not for sale, it’s not growing on a tree, and it’s not something you can order online.

Taking steps also means it taking time. Nobody can run before they can crawl and walk, right? First things first.

There is no guideline that fits everyone, because self-confidence is just that, yourself. You build your own confidence, by taking your own steps that feel perfect for you and in the time frame that you choose.

It will become clearer as we go further.

What is confidence?

Confidence is a feeling of trust in your qualities and judgments. To be self-confident is to feel secure from within, to believe in yourself and your abilities. Whether in a large crowd or a small group, with friends or alone, whether silent or talkative, it’s that special feeling inside that you can do this.

Higher confidence brings multiple benefits:

  • Improving your job performance
  • Becoming healthier and more positive
  • Gaining greater self-esteem and self-awareness
  • Better focus on achieving goals
  • Feeling more energized
  • Greater feelings of fulfilment and satisfaction
  • Remaining loyal to yourself, your values and beliefs
  • Accepting new challenges without fear
  • Achieving more with less stress
  • Setting realistic goals and getting the results you want

Self-confidence is extremely important in almost every aspect of our lives, yet many people struggle to find it. How do you build this sense of balanced self-confidence, founded on a firm appreciation of reality?
